Perched on the heart of Bukit Peninsula, Klive beach club offers a mesmerizing cliff view like none others. Gaze upon the blue Indian Ocean from the multi-level sundeck, stroll along the endless white sandy beach or stick around until after dark for drinks beneath the stars.
Klive caters to a contemporary generation who aim for a new start in a place where sun, sea, and sand meet. A place where people shift from fixed smiles to laughing out loud! Truly, it renders the metaphor: happiness comes in waves.
We propose Klive, a suggestive brand name that highlights the unique experience offered by its location on the spectacular cliffs of Uluwatu. The brand name was developed into an identity design by combining typography, form, and color transition, and further extended to the signage and brand applications.
Conceptually, the graphic exercise revolves around a sense of place, the beat, and the beach club characters — charming, contemporary, young, classy, and energetic. The identity design took a logotype form that reflected the architecture of the place. The letter E within the logotype resembled the terrain facade of the beach club’s main building. The color transition in the logotype mimics the sunrise and sunset, suggesting the beat will be on from rising until dawn. Because at Klive, paradise is always calling.
