Our design studio has a long-standing relationship with Paperina. This year, we collaborated to design an annual planner with the theme of authentic Indonesian culture.
The Setia Darma House of Mask & Puppet collection became the muse of our planner concept, with Paperina as the paper supplier and Harapan Prima as the printing company.
The cover page of the planner flaunted a sculptural effect produced from a skillful blind deboss technique. The interplay of highlights and cast shadows pleased the eyes without distraction.
Main characters, instruments, and plays sung in the story of the Setia Darma were translated into our design and enlivened through a combination of hand-picked paper materials and detailed finishes, such as 3d embossed, laser cut, hot print, pull and tear.
We chose meticulously each paper, matching it with the puppet’s character, from the texture, the tone to the specification according to the finishes we aimed for.
Not your ordinary planner, it is an art piece. The intricacy in design, detailed craftsmanship, everything about it awakens all senses.
